Dr. Joanne Chestnut is a business savvy, multi-talented individual with more than two decades of expertise in the field of nursing. She has emerged as a prominent leader in nursing education, study strategies for nursing content, and preparing students for the National Council for Licensure Examination (NCLEX). In 2013, Dr. Chestnut founded Crossing the Jordan, a nursing assistant training program to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for board certification. ln 2016, she pivoted and began teaching NCLEX test prep, and later developed her own highly acclaimed LADDER OF INTERVENTION test prep model. As a beacon of support for nurses, Dr. Chestnut expanded Crossing the Jordan LLC to CTJEC, offering a leadership program for new nurses and a second chance program for students who were unsuccessful on their first attempt at NCLEX.
